Spring Break College Retreat 2017

Please have your medical form completely filled out and either turn it in before you arrive or bring it with you when you arrive!

What is this all about?

Krislund is offering a FREE adventure based leadership retreat March 11-18. This trip will equip/train you with outdoor skills, paddling skills, and leadership skills using Christian components. After the retreat, you better able to lead a group and determine adventure risk assessments. No experience is necessary for this trip. You will be able to experience white water rafting, kayaking “in a ducky”, paddling a “sit on top”, and camping.

Broad timeline:

March 11 @ 12:00: Arrive at Krislund. Pack, fittings (adventure equipment), and dinner.

March 12-18: Travel to NC Mountains. The potential rivers that we will paddle are the Nantahala, James, French Broad, and possibly Wilson’s Creek. Rivers will be determined on temperature, water flow, and the skills of the group. If the water levels are not adequate, we will travel to the Chattahoochee River in Georgia.

Based on weather and water levels we will spend a day at the coast in North Carolina…then take the day to relax, soak up the sun and practice your skills in the water.
